The City of Orono is an Equal Opportunity Employer <br /> Maintain vendor database including W9 compliance, remittance addresses, electronic <br />payment information, and issuance of 1099’s. <br /> Process escrow refunds and maintain escrow database. <br /> Assist with updating and maintaining fixed asset ledgers. <br /> Perform Accounts Receivable function including creating invoices and statements <br />monthly, annual certification and maintaining database. <br /> Track escrow activities and performs periodic reconciliation of listing. <br /> Oversees supply ordering for City Hall. <br /> Assist in preparing year-end audit work papers, and participate in the City’s annual audit. <br /> Act as backup to the Payroll function. <br /> Other duties as assigned. <br />Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities <br />Knowledge: <br /> Clerical — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as <br />word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office <br />procedures and terminology. <br /> Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge of principles and procedures for <br />compensation and benefits and personnel information systems. <br /> English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language <br />including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. <br /> Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications. <br /> Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer <br />hardware and software, including applications and programming. <br />Skills: <br /> Active Listening — Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to <br />understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at <br />inappropriate times. <br /> Speaking — Talk to others to convey information effectively. <br /> Reading Comprehension — Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related <br />documents. <br /> Critical Thinking — Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of <br />alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. <br /> Coordination — Adjust actions in relation to others' actions. <br /> Time Management — Manage one's own time and the time of others. <br /> Monitoring — Monitor/Assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or <br />organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. <br />Abilities: <br /> Oral Comprehension — Able to listen to and understand information and ideas presented <br />through spoken words and sentences. <br /> Oral Expression — Able to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others <br />will understand. <br /> Speech Recognition — Able to identify and understand the speech of another person. <br /> Speech Clarity — Able to speak clearly so others can understand you. <br /> Deductive Reasoning — Able to apply general rules to specific problems to produce <br />65
