Date: October 28, 2024 Item: 4 <br />Presenter: Christine Lusian, City Clerk <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Title: Meeting Calendar <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />The purpose of this item is to approve the calendar of 2025 official public meetings. <br />2.Background: <br />The calendar satisfies the public notice requirement for regular business meetings and work <br />sessions of the City Council, as well as the Planning and Park Commissions. <br /> <br />Regular business meetings are for items ready for formal action and held in the council chambers <br />at 6pm with City Council on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, Planning Commission <br />on the third Monday of each month, and Park Commission on the first Tuesday of February, May, <br />August, and November. <br /> <br />Work sessions are for members to learn and discuss topics before taking action at a regular <br />business meeting. City Council work sessions are at 5pm on the second and fourth Tuesday of <br />each month, Planning Commission work sessions are scheduled as needed, and Park Commission <br />work sessions are 6pm on the first Tuesday of January, June, and October. <br /> <br />Official business is not conducted on observed holidays and offices are closed New Year's Day, <br />Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Juneteenth, Labor <br />Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, <br />and Friday after Christmas. <br />3.Staff Recommendation: <br />Approve the meeting calendar. <br />AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Approve the official public meeting calendar for 2025. <br />Exhibits <br />Meetings Calendar v4 JR <br />24
