Date: October 28, 2024 Item: 19 <br />Presenter: Melanie Curtis, Planner <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Title: LA24-000043, 1760 Shadywood Rd, Hardcover Variance - Resolution 7521 <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />Adopt Resolution No. 7521 reflecting Council's decision from the October 14th meeting. <br />2.MN§15.99 Application Deadline: <br />The application was submitted on August 19, 2024, and considered to be complete on September <br />5th. The 60-day review period will end on November 4, 2024. <br />3.Background: <br />At the October 14th meeting, the Council reviewed the applicant's request for variances. After a <br />discussion and deliberation, the Council voted 5 to 0 on a motion to approve the requested <br />hardcover variances associated with the renovation resulting in 27.7% hardcover where 29% exists <br />and 25% is permitted. <br />As part of the motion, the applicant was directed to include the required back-up turnaround in the <br />driveway hardcover. <br /> <br />The requested setback variances (allowing encroachments within the 75-foot lake setback, average <br />lakeshore setback, and side yard setback) were denied. <br />4.Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends the Council adopt the draft resolution. <br />AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Council should move to adopt Resolution No. 7521 as drafted. <br />Exhibits <br />Exhibit A - Draft Resol 7521 <br />186
