Road Name <br />Please review the road name selections presented by <br />applicant for consideration. Exhibit A. In review, staff found <br />that the first two selections - Fox Bend und Russell - pose <br />potential problems in consideration of ei-isting similar road <br />names within the City and surrounding area. Please review the <br />Hudson Directory pages that list existing roads within Orono and <br />adjacent communities similar to the first and second name <br />selections. <br />The reviewing staff recommends the third choice. Laurel, <br />finding no conflicts with existing road names within the City and <br />adjacent communities. One member of the reviewing staff asked if <br />applicant had considered Sussex Square (or Sussex Drive, Circle, <br />etc.) . <br />Proposed Motion: Moved by ___, seconded by ___, to approve the <br />following road names for the Fox Bend plat as follows: Laurel <br />Drive, Laurel Circle and Laurel Lane. Ayes ___, nays ___. <br />B) Approval of Monuments <br />Please review Exhibits D and E, the monuments are to be <br />placed 10' in from the plat road right-of-way and 20' in f^om the <br />Fox and Leaf Street right-of-ways. Staff sees no probl^.a with <br />traffic visibility nor with use of the intersection with height <br />and location of monuments. The monument runs approximately 17' <br />lineal feet, maximum height of the highest pillar is 6' connected <br />by a 3' wall to the lower pillar at 4'. The monuments will <br />consist of stone and brick. <br />The applicant has also included a landscape plan for <br />monument areas. Staff recommends approval of the monument design <br />finding no potential hazard based on location and no sighting <br />problems for users of the east and west accesses of this <br />property. Based on directives of final plat resolution, <br />developer is to create easements over monument area to assure <br />access for upkeep and maintenance. <br />Proposed Motion: Moved by _ _, seconded by to approve the <br />monuments for the Fox Bend plat based on plans by Kevin G.
