Hater Structures & Environment Committee Aprii 7, i990 <br />B. The Executive Director reported a nine page report on an <br />interagency agreement betHeen the Minrehaha Creek Watershed <br />District. MN Department of Natural Itosources and LHCU has been <br />issued. The bas i<- plan is to arrive at f'rtpth limits on dredging <br />depths. The plan proposes: 924.6 f'"r residential: 923.6 for <br />commercial and 921.6 for deep draft commercial docks and public <br />channels. With the licensing of contractors, the MCWD is now <br />reliant on the contractor perforiri.n« to permit allowances. The <br />Executive Director noted that Minnetonka Portable Dredging, <br />coincident to tliis agreement, has a request pending to dredge <br />their location to 920. <br />C. Grathwol reported the Morris/Bowers dock use area <br />conflict in Greenwood is being worked out with the neighbors. <br />Grathwol reminded the committee that the wetlands issue remains <br />to be studied. . . ,.D. Grathwol exhibited a porous geomembrane underlinsr <br />fabric for use under sand blankets. The DNR is approving its use <br />and will establisli standards for installation. <br />7. Office Space Needs <br />The Executive Director reported Lewmati has learned of office <br />space on Lake Otreet. Way.-.ata. above Minnetonka Travei Service. <br />It has four private offices, a large meeting roo(6 and reception <br />area. and would be very competitively priced. <br />The Executive Director suKrtested employment of milfoil staff <br />and an administrative teclini:ian. Growing District demands being <br />placed on the executive director's position forces the need for <br />more office space. A specific staffing proposal is being <br />prepared for tiie April Hoard meeting. <br />Committee members w-ace invited to inspect the proposed <br />office space. <br />9.
