Grabek, <br />I recently applied for zoning variance #1489 to build a <br />small addition to my garage which already stood at the <br />maximum size of 1000 feet. The variance was approved by <br />the council on 3 - 2 votes during it's sessions of March <br />12 and April 9. The matter was not among the major issues <br />to come before the council but it was important to me and <br />I'm writing to yoi: and to the other members who supported <br />it to express ■ appreciation. <br />In addition to getting a favorable decision on the matter, <br />I enjoyed the meetings I attended since it was my first <br />experience with Orono city government, although I have lived <br />here for many years.
