If employees do not <br />receive reimbursement checks when they expect them, or <br />reimbursement amounts are different than anticipate-’ '■r wrong, or <br />if the procedure is complex and confusing, employees will quickly <br />become disillusioned about the value of the plan. <br />The administration of the plan must provide: <br />» CONFIDENTIALITY - the employer does not want to be in <br />the position of claims examiner to review private <br />medical claims of employees. <br />* EFFICIENCY - Claim documentation must be reviewed, <br />reimbursements must be prepared timely and accurately, <br />and participants must understand the system. <br />PROFICIENCY - The employer must be kept up to date on <br />lec'slative developments, plan requirements, and <br />discrimination testing.
