The first Earth Day alerted <br />millions to environmental problems and spumed efforts to eliminate the dangerous <br />pesticide DDT. restore Lake Erie and bring about Ocan Air and Water legislation. How­ <br />ever, today even more needs to be done — by aU of us — to address the numerous <br />ecological hazards which face each and every one of us every day. <br />In conjunction with Earth Day. on Friday, April 27th (Arbor Day). I will be <br />hosting a forum ai the Anoka Ramsey Community College from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 <br />p.m. to discuss what you can do to contribute to a cleaner, safer, more sound envi­ <br />ronment. Sutc, local and privaU: organizations will join me in discussing solutions that <br />we all can take and live with to help save our precious planet.
