Bernhacdson, City Administrator <br />FROM: Dorothy Hallin, City Clerk <br />DATE: April 5, 1990 <br />SUBJECT: Temporary Classification Change - Part Time Clerical <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />APR 91990 <br />CITY OF <br />ISSUE - Need for full time staff strength until secreatry <br />position is filled, <br />DISCUSSION - On March 14, 1990 Theresa Stahl resigned from the <br />secretary position and as of this date the staff is short one <br />full time person. <br />Our current part time person, Jamie Bosma, has stated she would <br />be willing to step into the secretary position on a temporary <br />basis if she is compensated according to that position's <br />classification. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is my recommendation that Jamie Bosma's <br />^UssHicatiorTLevel II ($8,721 per hour) be changed to full time <br />Level IV, Step 1 ($9,795 per hour). This change would be in <br />effect until the position has been filled and the secretary has <br />completed one week of on duty training. At that time Jajiie s <br />classification would revert to part time Level II ($8,721 per <br />hour.) <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br />FRCM: Mark E.
