-fLO.NO CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> y�l NO. 7516 <br /> 1kESHO0" <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING <br /> AN INTERIM USE PERMIT PURSUANT WITH <br /> MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br /> SECTIONS 78-916 & 78-1726 <br /> FILE NO. LA24-000045 <br /> WHEREAS, on August 21, 2024, on behalf of the Park Gun Club, Larry Compton, <br /> President, (hereinafter"the Applicant"), applied for an interim use permit for soil processing and <br /> mining activities associated with a lead reclamation project conducted within the property <br /> addressed 3660 Sixth Avenue North and legally described as: <br /> Attached as Exhibit A(hereinafter the"Property"); <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicant made an application to the City of Orono for an interim use <br /> permit (hereinafter the "IUP" pursuant to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Sections 78-916 and 78- <br /> 1726 to conduct a lead reclamation project involving soil processing and mining within the <br /> Property; and <br /> WHEREAS, on September 16, 2024, after published and mailed notice in accordance with <br /> Minnesota Statutes and the City Code, the Planning Commission held a public hearing, at which <br /> time all persons desiring to be heard concerning this application were allowed to speak thereon; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, on September 16, 2024, the Planning Commission recommended approval <br /> of the IUP as described; and <br /> WHEREAS, on October 14, 2024, the City Council reviewed the application and the <br /> recommendations of the Planning Commission and City staff; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Orono, Minnesota <br /> hereby approves the requested IUP as described above based on one or more of the following <br /> findings of fact concerning the Property: <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT: <br /> Al. The analysis contained within staff memos and the exhibits attached to the aforesaid <br /> memos, all minutes from the above-mentioned meetings, and all other materials <br /> distributed at these meetings are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> A2. The Property is located in the RR-1 B, One Family Rural Residential Zoning District. <br /> 1 <br />
