Guidance Continued <br />1990-1991 Tuition Rcdprocity <br />Minnesota has tuition reciprocity agreements with <br />VN^sconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota. This allows <br />Minnesota students to attend public post secondary <br />schools in the above states for the same cost as they would <br />pay to attend similar sduwls in Minnesota. <br />Tuition reciprocity applications have arrived and are <br />available in the high school guidance office. These forms <br />must be filled out in order to be eligible for the reduced <br />tuition. See your counselor if you plan to attend a public <br />l^^sconsin. North Dakota, or South Dakota school. <br />St. Qoud Changes Enrollment Policy <br />For the first time in the history of the Minnesota Public <br />University System one of its members will Umit their <br />enrollment. St Ooud State University recently announced <br />they plan to limit their enrollment for fall quarter 1990. <br />The freshman class will be limited to 2300 students and a <br />priority registration deadline of May 1,1990 is in place. <br />The school has already accepted 2100 students as of the <br />end of January. <br />St Qoud also intends to use new admission criteria <br />including higher test scores, starting with fall quarter 1991. <br />At this time they have not made public what these new <br />standards will he. <br />See or call your counselor with questions. <br />How 1989 Scholarship Winners Are <br />Using Their Awards <br />Once again we would like to thank all of the individuals <br />and organizations who sponsored sdiolarships or <br />contributed monies to the Orono District Scholarship <br />Fund. <br />We thought you would like to know how your monies <br />are being used by our students as they pursue ffieir post* <br />secondary education. Currently they are available in 15 disciplines. Tests normally given at Orono are English, Gemum, and <br />Spani». Students have also taken the Calculus and Physics tests in the post They are administered in May of each <br />e^’t^ atteild ” ** **'^*^*^ ^ undergraduate credit and/or advanced standing at the college thqr <br />Normally studmts who take these tests are currently enrolled in AP dosses at the high school however, they are open <br />iQjBBXfiDfi who feeb they have the necessary background. <br />^ ***** ** ordered well in advance of the test date. Students enrolled in an AP class will <br />be asked if they are interested. Other students should see Ms. Woyteke in the guidance office no later than March 23.
