22890.M /a n <br />TO: Cigarette License Holders <br />FROM: Dorothy Hallin, City Clerk <br />DATE: February 28, 1990 <br />SUBJECT: Ordinance Amendment - Vending Machine Cigarette Sales <br />As you may recall, at the Council's January 22, 1990 meeting <br />cigarette licenses were issued for 1 quarter (February, March, <br />April) only. This action was taken to give the Council time to <br />consider changing the existing ordinance as it relates to the <br />licensing of cigarette vending machines in the City. <br />The Council will consider an ordinance amendment at the March 12, <br />1990 Council meeting prohibiting the use of cigarette vending <br />machines or similar dispensing devices. The only exception would <br />be locations where minors are prohibited. <br />Please feel free to attend this meeting or write your opinions <br />on this matter for presentation to the City Council.
