Municipal Board Letter Dated 2/26/90 <br />B, Resolution Draft to Municipal Board <br />ISSUE - Determine what response, if any, the City desires to make <br />to the action by the City of Long Lake submitting an annexation <br />petition to the Municipal Board. <br />INTRODUCTION - As you are aware the City received a letter from <br />the Municipal Board indicating that the City of Long Lake <br />submitted a petition for annexation of the sewer plant property. <br />DISCUSSION - The alternatives for the Council to undertake are as <br />follows: <br />A. Concur - submit a petition of concurrence as outlined <br />in Attachment A. <br />B. Make no response. <br />C. Submit a resolution of opposition. <br />The submission of Alternative C is not an expected alternative, <br />but it is felt appropriate by the Attorney to do so. <br />To date the city has not received a copy of Long Lake's actual <br />petition. <br />A tentative date for the hearing has been scheduled for 9:30 <br />a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 1990 at the Orono Council Chambers. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />Action <br />1. Adopt. <br />2. Amend and adopt. <br />3. Table <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that after any amendir-»nts that <br />the resolution be adopted and transmitted to the Policy Board <br />prior to March 30, 1990, indicating the City's opposition to this <br />petition.
