Date: October 14, 2024 Item: 9 <br />Presenter: Correy Farniok, Police Chief <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Title: Purchase Police Vehicles <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to purchase 2025 police vehicles. <br />2.Background: <br />The police department has budgeted for the replacement of three police vehicles in 2025 and is <br />requesting to order three vehicles. The police department is requesting to place an order for three <br />2025 Ford Police Interceptor AWD SUV's. The order for the Ford Interceptors was placed several <br />weeks ago and is waiting to be confirmed when/if approved by Council. The window to place <br />orders was opened for a limited time. Expected deliver for this would be April to June 2025. <br /> <br />These purchases would replace a 2019 Dodge Durango and two 2020 Dodge Durango's. All of <br />these vehicles are currently being used and will continue to be used until they are to be replaced. <br /> <br />The vehicles will be sold when decommissioned at the auto action or to Guardian Fleet Safety. <br />3.Cost: <br />The City was able to coordinate with a dealership in St. Cloud for the purchase and delivery of <br />these vehicles at MN state contract pricing. <br /> <br />Dealership Make Model Quote <br /> <br />Tenvoorde Ford - St. <br />Cloud Ford Police Interceptor <br />AWD SUV $43,612.94 <br /> <br />4.Funding: <br />This purchase will be funded through the Automotive Equipment line of the police budget.
