Minutes <br />City Council Regular Meeting <br />Monday, September 23, 2024, 6:00 PM <br />City Council Chambers 2780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />The Council discussed the item and asked questions of staff. <br />Veach moved, Crosby seconded, to adopt Resolution 7507 adopting the 2025 Preliminary Tax Levy. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 1 (Benson). <br />PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT <br />17.Fire Vehicle Purchase –Brush Medical Utility <br />The City Council is requested to review the Staff report, receive a presentation, and discuss and approve <br />ordering a second brush medical utility vehicle for a total of 406,03 to be leased for availability by <br />October 2025. <br />The Council discussed the item and asked questions of staff. <br />Veach moved, Crosby seconded, to approve ordering the brush medical utility vehicle. VOTE: <br />Ayes 4, Nays 1 (Benson). <br />Fire Chief Van Eyll reported on calls and incidents from August 24 to September 18 and other <br />community engagement and staffing and equipment status. <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />Attorney Mattick had no report. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR/ENGINEER REPORT <br />18.Work Session Schedule <br />City Administrator Edwards said there are no changes to the work session schedule. <br />Johnson moved, Crosby seconded, to approve the work session schedule. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />19.Human Resources Committee Report <br />Benson reported on the Human Resources Committee meeting. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Janie Delaney, 1315 Woodhill Ave; Kelly Grady 271 Greenhill Lane, Long Lake; Shea Chwialkowski, <br />6809 Lyndale Ave; and Brad Erickson, Corcoran,provided comments. <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL REPORT <br />Mayor and Council provided reports. <br />7
