Date: September 23, 2024 Item: 7 <br />Presenter: DJ Goman, Public Works Superintendent <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Title: Compensation Increase for Public Works Fleet Mechanic <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />To gain City Council step increase approval for public works Fleet Maintenance Worker Eric <br />Boehlke <br />2.Background: <br />Public Works employee Eric Boehlke started with the city in February 2024 as a Public Works <br />Fleet Maintenance worker. His performance has been exceptional. Eric has strived to improve, <br />expand the department and fleet assets he is responsible for overseeing and has shown interest in <br />improving the overall department. Eric has quickly become a subject matter expert on Orono vast <br />fleet of equipment. Eric's fellow employee's have nothing but good things to say about his <br />performance. <br />3.Staff Recommendation: <br />I recommend step increase to Grade 8, Step 6 $37.39 of the Local 49 AFL-CIO pay scale of <br />retroactive to August 26, 2024 for exceptional performance. <br />AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Approve motion for a step increase to Grade 8 Step 6 $37.39 of Local 49 AFL-CIO pay <br />scale retroactive to August 26, 2024 for Public Works Fleet Mechanic Eric Boehlke. <br />37
