Where piping diameters <br />are smaller than the length of the wells, provide wells in <br />the piping at elbows to effect proper flow across the entire <br />area of the well; wells may either lOoK upstream or down <br />stream. Provide suitable thermal tranmission material within <br />the well to speed the response of temperature measurement. <br />Provide wells with sealing nuts to contain the thermal trans <br />mission material and allow for easy removal. Well shall not <br />restrict flow area to less than 70 percent of line-size pipe <br />normal flow area. <br />G. Pressure Sensors; Provide sensors in suitable NEMA enclosures <br />and provide sensors which are corrosion resistant throughout. <br />H. Indicators; Mount all temperature and pressure indicators <br />where they may be read by a person standing on the floor; <br />provide remote indicators where necssar.y to accomplish this. <br />3.02 ADJUSTMENTS <br />A. Adjust controls and equipment to maintain the conditions <br />indicated, to perform the functions indicated, and to operate <br />in the sequence specified. <br />3.03 INSTRUCTING OP'ilRATING PERSCNNEL <br />A. Upon completion of the work and at a time designated by the <br />Owner provide the services of a competent tecnhician re <br />gularly employed by the manufacturer of the temperature controls <br />for giving instruction to the Owner's personnel in the proper <br />operation and maintenance of each automatic space temperature <br />control system. The period of instruction shall be for not <br />less than two eight hour working days and as required by Owner. <br />3.04 NAMEPLATES <br />A. Provide laminated plastic nameplates for all control items <br />listed or shown in the submittal and approved control dia <br />grams. Each inscription shall identify its function; such <br />as "mixed air controller", "cold deck sensor", and when <br />applicable its position. Laminated plastic shall be 0.125 <br />inch thick Melamine plastic, black with white center core. <br />Surface shall be matte finish. All corners shall be square. <br />The lettering shall be accurately -aligned and engraved into <br />the white core. Size of nameplates shall be one by 2.5 <br />inches minimum. Lettering shall be minimum 0.25 inch high <br />normal block lettering. Key nameplates to a chart cind schedule <br />for each system. Mount charts and schedules under glass, in <br />a frame and place where directed near each system. Furnish <br />two copies of each chart and schedule to the prior to final <br />acceptance. <br />END OF SECTION <br />M-If ^ <br />15900-9
