The stacics shall be installed <br />according to manufacturer's recommendations with proper clear­ <br />ances and height above roof. <br />Stack vents for gas fired appliances shall be Type B. <br />Breechings shall be 22 gauge galvanized iron pipe. <br />Stack shall terminate three feet above the roof. <br />3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSTALLATION <br />A. <br />B. <br />C. <br />D. <br />The warm air heating installation shall conform to the require­ <br />ments in NFPA or NFPA 90B as applicable. Combustion air supply <br />and ventilation shall be in accordance with NFPA 31 or NFPA <br />54. as applicable. Installation shall meet all local and <br />State of Minnesota codes. <br />Provide foundations, settings or suspensions for mounting <br />equipment and accessories, including but not limited to sup­ <br />ports. vibration isolators, stands, guides, ancriors. clamps <br />and brackets. Foundations and suspension for equipment shall <br />conform to the recommendations of the manufacturer, unless <br />otherwise indicated on the drawings. Set anchor bolts and <br />sleeves accurately using properly constructed templates. <br />Provide anchor bolts and lag screws with welded-on plates <br />on the head end and guard against damage until equipment is <br />installed. Level bases using jacks or steel wedges, and <br />when resting on concrete, neatly grout in with a non-shrinking <br />type of grout. Locate equipment as indicated on the drawings <br />and in such a manner that working space is available for all <br />necessary servicing, such as shaft removal, replacing or <br />adjusting drives, motors or shaft seals, air filters, access <br />to automatic controls and lubrication. Provide electrical <br />isolation between dissimilar metals of the purpose of minimizing <br />galvanic corrosion. Clean the interior of cabinets or casings <br />before completion of installation. Prime all uncoated ferrous- <br />metal work and apply a finish coat of paint. <br />Air Fi’ters: Provide air filters where indicated. ;v- not <br />>ns or blowers until filters are Installed. After <br />a of tests and before the building is accepted by <br />operate <br />compi: <br />the 0nw«ir. the Contractor shall furnish and install a new <br />jcond set of throwaway filters, where utilized, or clean <br />the permanent type filters. <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for starting up the equip­ <br />ment. Prior to start up. clean all equipment, adjust belts <br />to proper tensions, and install a filters.
