All work shall conform in all respects with the requirements <br />of these contract documents. All labor shall be performed <br />in the best and most worKmanliKe manner by laborers skilled <br />in their respective trades. <br />B It is the intent of these plans and specifications to form <br />a guide for a complete installation. Everything necessary <br />for a complete and successful operation of the work, whether <br />or not they are definitely specified or indicated on the <br />(jfgvings, shall be furnished and installsd as well and as <br />faithfully as if so specified or indicated. <br />C. The Contractor shall store his materials and equipment in <br />such a place and in such a manner that a minimum of conges­ <br />tion will result. Such materials and equipment shall be <br />pfoperly protected from physical damage regardless of probable <br />cause. The placing of materials and equipment shall be sub­ <br />ject to the approval of the Owner and Engineer. Such place­ <br />ment shall not create an unusual hazard to any person nor <br />shall it pose an unusual threat toward the preservation of <br />existing building materials and surfaces. <br />MAINTENANCE AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS <br />The Contractor shal'. prepare a portfolio, as soon as possible <br />after equipment has bsen ordered/ of all mechanical equipment <br />furnished by him on the proj't=,t. This portfolio shall include <br />manufacturer’s shop drawings, parts lists and operating and <br />maintenance instructions of such equipment. Information <br />shall be submitted in triplicate, neatly folded to approxi­ <br />mately 8-1/2" X 11" size and bound in indexed loose-leaf <br />binders of adequate size to contain the material. Each <br />binder shall be properly identified. Upon completion of <br />these portfolios, the Contractor shall turn same over to <br />to the Architect/Engineer/ prior to the Owner taking over <br />the building, for approval and delivery to the Owner. <br />B. Instructions shall contain the following information: <br />1. Manufacturer's recommended cleaning and maintenance <br />procedures. <br />2. List of materials recommended for maintenance. <br />3. Complete operating instructions. <br />4. Name and address of authorized service organizations <br />and parts depot. <br />5. Where indicated in the specifications, the Contractor <br />^all provide the services of a factory-trained repre­ <br />sentative to instruct the Owner's authorized personnel <br />in the operation, control and maintenance of equipment. <br />6. Refer to sections of specifications for additional infor­ <br />mation to be furnished by the Contractor. <br />7. The Mechanical Contractor shall Instruct the Owner's <br />representative in the use of all equipment and systems, <br />as specified in Division 15. <br />15010-5
