bill to undertake this. <br />Comprehensive Plan Direction - If there is a policy change to <br />allow conversion of private streets to public and that any new <br />subdivisions would have the option of either being public or <br />private when constructed (or the City could require all new <br />subdivision streets to be public) that it would be appropriate <br />that the Comprehensive Plan be amended together with any <br />appropriate amendments to implement that in the zoning and <br />subdivision chapters. This amendment could be done as part of <br />the City review of its Comprehensive Plan amendment in <br />relationship to the transportation and sewer chapters sent out by <br />Metropolitan Council. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Further explore the conversion. <br />2. Table for further discussion. <br />3. Take no action. <br />4. Choose not to undertake. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the City undertake a <br />proposal for conversion of private streets to public streets and <br />that staff bring back a proposal based on any further discussion <br />the Council may have.
