I ••. <br />I <br />Water Structures and Environment Committee January 13, 1990ADDITIONAL BUSINESS <br />The Executive Director and Cochran met with the MN DNR <br />regarding the shoreland grant of $40,000 for the Management Plan <br />and $60,000 for implementing the shoreland rules. The DNR was <br />responsive to advancing the $40,000 but they want the grant to bo <br />handled under one contract. The committee expressed concern that <br />some of the cities might opt out of the program. In such an <br />event those cities would be responsible to the DNR for the new <br />rules without the flexibility being allowed through the LMCD <br />plan. <br />The Executive Director has set a meeting for 7:30 a.m. <br />Tuesday, January 16th to consider David Arndorfor’s reply to DNRs <br />lake density questions in the Management Plan. <br />The Executive Director has planned a meeting of the <br />officers, Hurr and any other interested Directors at 7:30 a.m. <br />Wednesday, January 17th to discuss personnel matters, long range <br />staffing and the Executive Director’s job description.. <br />Adjournnent The Chair declared the meeting adjourned at 11 a.m. <br />For the committee: <br />Eugene Strommen, Executive Director James N.
