Water Structure and Environment Committee January 13, 1990 <br />Bruce Tam, contact ptrson for the Waycata Yacht Club, has <br />reviewed the EAW and finds it satisfactory. It is understood the <br />Waysata Yacht Club is responsible for costs involved in the <br />preparation of the EAW as stated in the EQB rules. <br />Foster moved, Pillsbury seconded, a recommendation to the <br />Board that the EAW be approved as submitted in anticipation of an <br />EAW petition. Motion carried unanimously. <br />9. Inquiry regarding refund of dock license application fees for <br />slips not used in 1989 and/or 1990. <br />Bjorlin stated the City of Tonka Bay <br />consideration for a dock fee refund. <br />would like <br />If <br />Reese moved, Hurr seconded, a recommendation to the Board to <br />advise concerned marina operators they have the option of <br />renewing their 1990 application for the full number of slips for <br />which they are licensed to preserve their privilege or to submit <br />a new dock license application for the number of slips they <br />anticipate will be usable, with all accompanying ^isw dock license <br />restrictions. Motion ca,.‘ried. Bjorlin voting nay. <br />10. Guidelines for temporary residential dock extensions without <br />a formal permit application. <br />The Guidelines for Temporary Residential Dock Extensions <br />(without a formal permit application) provides in 1 (c) that the <br />extension shall be permitted only during the 1989 season. <br />Foster moved, Cochran .seconded, to recommend to the Board <br />tiiat 1 (c> of the Guidelines be amended to read "Tlie extension <br />shall be permitted only during a year in whii?i the Board <br />declares low water is in effect." Motion carried u.animons 1>-. <br />Cochran moved. Bjorlin seconded, to recommend approval of <br />the Guildelines for Temporary Residential Dock Extension as <br />amended. Motion carried unanimously. <br />11. Reaffirming 1909 temporary low water variances for multiple <br />dock license renewals for 1990 license . <br />Babcock mov<^d, Pillsbury seconded, a recommendation to the <br />Board that the following licensees holding 1939 temporary low <br />water variances for low w^*er be approved for r*.;,.::wal in 1990 <br />>uith the conditio.n^s of tho water variance for multiple Jocks: <br />t;
