Navarre Redevelopraent/Consultant Agreement <br />Dated 6/12/88 <br />B. Proposed Addendum Stage II <br />ISSUE - Authorization to adopt the addendum as part of the <br />contract. <br />INTRODUCTION - The initial estimate for the work for Stage I was <br />approximately $15,000. Because of the protracted nature of the <br />proceedings on the matter together with the request for <br />development of options to help illustrate parts of Stage I, the <br />work done by the consultant has begun to actually lapse into Part <br />1 Stage II. <br />DISCUSSION - It is requested that the Council authorizean <br />addendum for Stage II up to an amount not to exceed $5,000. This <br />would bring the total authorized to date up to $20,000. A total <br />of $30,000 has been budgeted between 1988 and 1989. After the <br />meeting on November 18th an estimate for the balance will be <br />prepared depending on the scope of work decided upon at or <br />following that meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Adopt the addendum. <br />2. Stop the contract at the proposal. <br />3. Table for further discussion. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the addendum be adopted <br />as presentee^. This authorization is up to $5,000 for Stage 11 <br />Phase 1 Step 1. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by , seconded by _, Orono City Council <br />authorizes amending the agreement with Dahlgren, Shardlow and <br />Uban regarding Navarre Redevelopment to include an additional <br />$5,000 for beginning Stage II work.
