A RESOLUTION COMMENDING <br /> GABRIEL JABBOUR <br /> FOR HIS EFFORTS IN RELATION TO A PERSONAL INJURY CRASH <br /> IN THE CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6115 <br /> WHEREAS, on January 26, 2012, at 1743 hours, the Orono Police and <br /> Long Lake Fire Department received a call of a personal injury crash in the 3000 <br /> block of North Shore Drive in the City of Orono; and <br /> WHEREAS, upon impact with a tree the vehicle started on fire; and <br /> WHEREAS, Gabriel Jabbour came across the crash shortly after it had <br /> occurred; and <br /> WHEREAS, Gabriel Jabbour called 911, Gabriel attempted to wake the <br /> unconscious male from the severely damaged vehicle and when the fire could not <br /> be put out, Gabriel pulled the driver from the car as the fire grew and came closer <br /> to them; and <br /> WHEREAS, Gabriel Jabbour pulled the driver to safety and relayed vital <br /> information to responding officers; and <br /> WHEREAS, had Gabiel Jabbour not made a phone call to 911 and pulled <br /> the unconscious driver from the burning vehicle,the driver may have perished. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Orono City <br /> Council does hereby commend Gabriel Jabbour for his care and concern for the <br /> safety and well-being of others; and does also extend sincere appreciation to him, <br /> on behalf of the Orono City Council, the Orono Police Department, the Long <br /> Lake Fire Department, and the citizens of this community. <br /> Ado�ted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting <br /> held this 27t day of February, 2012. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> �� �.� ` � �c�.��'�... <br /> Linda S.
