Date: August 12, 2024 Item: 8 <br />Presenter: Maggie Jin, Finance Director <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Title: Accept Golf Course Donation - Resolution 7502 <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />Formal acceptance of donation from the Orono Lions Club for the pavilion at the Orono Orchards <br />Golf Course. <br />2.Background: <br />The Parks Commission created the Golf Course Masterplan in 2017, which included the pavilion. <br />At the end of 2023, the Orono Lions Club contacted city staff with a request to complete the <br />project of building the pavilion in time for the 100-year anniversary of the golf course. The Orono <br />Lions committed a donation along with labor to complete the project.
