425 Oxford Avenue <br />Orono, Mn. 55356 <br />November 14, 1991 <br />Mayor Barbara Peterson <br />City of Orono <br />1335 South Brown Road <br />Orono, Mn. 55356 <br />»0V 2 1 1991 <br />Dear Mayor Peterson, <br />I have just received a notice from the City <br />improvements. <br />I will not be present for the meeting so I wish to <br />state my strong objection to the inclusion of my property in the <br />proposed project or assessment area. <br />My property is a two (2) acre*f site that has a <br />septic tank and drain field that is in excellent working order. There <br />is also a site on the property for a mound system in the unlikely <br />event of a problem with the main system. There is no reason to include <br />this property in any sewer improvement as it would be redundant. <br />In these times of increasing tax foi <br />questionable services I object to an assessment for improvement <br />that is unneeded on this site. I believe that the incxusion of my <br />property would be arbitrary and capricious. I believe that tne only <br />reason for the inclusion of properties such as this is to support the <br />construction cost. Without the inclusion or properties that do not <br />need this improvement the project would collapse of its own weight. <br />Please be advised that if the City Council goes <br />forward with this project and includes my property I will institute a <br />legal action to remove it. I would request a copy of the Environmental <br />Impact Report on this project and a Cost-Benefit report if one was <br />prepared.
