r <br />i. <br />1988 Marina Licenses <br />January Sr 1989 <br />Page 4 of 7 <br />A) North Shore Drive Marina <br />Horth Shore Drive Marina was last issued a marina license for the 1984 <br />season The 1985 license was denied pending resolution of a dock use <br />l.,lT Mr. Hork, owner of the marina, persisted in docking his personal <br />boat on the east side of the main dock extension, which is an encroachment <br />into the dock use area setback. The neighboring dock use <br />due to a concave shoreline configuration, hence use of the <br />M^^^o;kTc^r:a:“h^^‘ tTeraVnadru “dockVd^rtii: <br />location because it was his personal boat and his handicapped wife and <br />brother could not use the boat if it was in any other location. <br />The L.M.C.D. considered this setback encroachment as a violation in <br />1986 p note the attached memo of May 20, 1986. <br />in 1987, Hork apparently either purchased or gained some <br />the adjacent Millard property to the east and was using it <br />storage, as noted in the L.M.C.D. letter of November 6, 1987. Also in <br />1987 staff was at issue with the marina regarding construction o <br />ior ;he houee at 3250 North Sho.-e Drive (part of the marina property). <br />That permit was finally issued in April 1988. <br />Also, in 1987 or 1988, Hork removed the blue privacy fence along North <br />Shore Drive? which had been a source of complaints from neighboring <br />property owners and passersby for many years. However, in planting an <br />Sc^^ng as a replacement to the fence, Hork also placed <br />the entire area between the toad and the dry-stack units. Staff ^as n <br />verified whether the landscape rock is underlaid by p <br />however, this may constitute an increase in hardcover on * ^ <br />already greatly exceeding the hardcover limitations (as <br />our commercial marina operations). <br />AS was intended in 1988, staff for 1989 intends to make a <br />:tnirk^u^nr ‘^a"v^ra??o^s"p«^"sr, <br />applications for Council review as necessary. <br />This marina paid a 1988 license fee of $396.00.
