'’■I <br />c <br />t' <br />t- <br />i.-', ■ <br />A RBSOLOTION INDICATIliG <br />THB CITT OP OROBO'S IflLLIIIGHBSS <br />TO COOPBRATB WITH MHDOT IW ITS EFFORTS <br />TO MITIGATE THB IMPACT OF UPGRADIHG HIGHWAY 12 <br />OSIMG THB BXISTIIIG CORRIDOR <br />WHBRBASf each of the alternate corridors for the <br />upgrading of Highway 12 will affect existing and planned land <br />uses; and <br />WHBRBASf the City of Orono feels strongly that <br />upgrading Highway 12 using the existing corridor would have the <br />least overall impact on existing and planned land uses; and <br />WHBRBA8» the impacts related to using the existing <br />Highway 12 corridor can be significantly mitigated; and <br />WHBRBAS, MnDOT is the responsible agency for mitigation <br />of these impacts; and <br />WHBRBAS« the City of Orono understands that the ability <br />of MnDOT to effectively mitigate the impacts may depend on <br />Orono*s cooperation. <br />HOW, THBRBFORB, BB IT RESOLVED that the City Council of <br />the City of Orono is willing to cooperate with MnDOT and the City <br />of Long Lake to enhance the abill*-y of MnDOT to mitigate the <br />impacts of upgrading Highway 12 usd ig the existing corridor. <br />Adopted by the Orono City Council on this 14th day of <br />October, 1991. <br />ATTEST; <br />Dorothy M.
