Minutes <br />Planning Commission Regular Meeting <br />Monday, June 17, 2024, 6:00 PM <br />City Council Chambers 2780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356 <br />5.2 LA24-000026, GREGG STEINHAFEL, 2265 AND 2285 NORTH SHORE DRIVE -GRADING <br />IUP <br />The Planning Commission is requested to review the Staff report, receive a presentation, and discuss and <br />approve the request for the Grading IUP. <br />The Planning Commission discussed the item and asked questions of staff and the applicant, Gregg <br />Steinhafel, 2265 and 2285 North Shore Drive. <br />Chair Bollis opened the public hearing at 7:02 p.m. <br />Steve Clear, 1360 French Creek Drive, provided comments. <br />Chair Bollis closed the public hearing at 7:06 p.m. <br />Commissioners indicated support for the plan, noting some comments made by the City Engineer. <br />Ressler moved, Kraemer seconded, to approve LA24-000026, 2265 AND 2285 North Shore Drive - <br />Grading IUP as applied. VOTE: Ayes: 7, Nays 0. <br />5.3 LA24-000028, STEVE WHITE, 4375 BAYSIDE ROAD, PRELIMINARY PLAT <br />The Planning Commission is requested to review the Staff report, receive a presentation, and discuss and <br />approve the request for the Preliminary Plat. <br />The Planning Commission discussed the item and asked questions of staff and the applicant, Steve White, <br />4375 Bayside Road. <br />Chair Bollis opened the public hearing at 7:14 p.m. <br />There were no public comments. <br />Chair Bollis closed the public hearing at 7:14 p.m. <br />Commissioners supported the plat plan for conforming lots. <br />Kirchner moved, Libby seconded, to approve LA24-000028, 4375 Bayside Rd. Preliminary Plat as <br />applied. VOTE: Ayes: 7, Nays 0. <br />5.4 LA24-000029, ROBEY CONSTRUCTION O/B/O STEVE STREICH, 1487 SHORELINE <br />DRIVE, VARIANCE <br />The Planning Commission is requested to review the Staff report, receive a presentation, and discuss and <br />approve the request for the variance. <br />The Planning Commission discussed the item and asked questions of staff and the applicant, Bill Robey <br />of Robey Constriction. <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
