Preliminary plat dated July 26. 1991. <br />Siimmarvi <br />The proiect involves construction of a municipal office complex including a public works <br />bailiine. police station, city offices, city meeting hall and associated dnvcways and <br />oarkine areas on a 14.1 acre site located nonh of U.S. Hwy 12 and east of Old Crystal Bay <br />RoS in the City of Orono. The existing site contains a 2.3 acre wetland which ^»^s to <br />the north off the propeny. The drainage path then bends to the south crossing Hwy. 1- <br />ihrouEh a 24-inch eulven into the City of Long Lake where it drams along a ditch through <br />the downtown area across Hwy. 12 and into Long Lake. This ditch has been the subject of <br />review on several previous occasions with concern expressed about erosion problems <br />along its banks. <br />The wetland is ecncrally grass and willow interspersed with some pockets of catt^iils. <br />Cattails are an indication that ponions of the wetland may be considered Type 3 <br />mSJJlikely to be considered Type 2.
