From time to time craft are left on the <br />Lake overnight at a work site. , . - <br />Orathwol advised against a code amendment. He would favor a <br />policr which would allow overnight parking of commercial <br />^quipmont on a work site or in bad weather. Reese favors a <br />code amendment which would make legal what is now being <br />done without approval. ^ ^ i ♦Cochran moved, Orathwol seconded, to recommend referring to <br />the staff the need for an ordinance amendment regarding temporarr <br />parking of maintenance and service watercraft. Motion carried, <br />Reese voting nay. <br />D. Oeioing Renewal Applications <br />Orathwol moved, Pillsbury seconded, to recommend waiving the <br />d0lcinc ranewal application deadline for 30 days to November i <br />to incorporate Fee Study Subcommittee recommendations. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />I. Low Rater Declaration Notices <br />The executive director asked reconsideration for sending the <br />cautionary notice about returning docks to their normal position <br />in 1992. He proposed It accompany the dock license renewals to be <br />sent out in early October. It was the consensus of the committee <br />that the notice be sent out with the dock license renewals. <br />f. Sise of Watercraft - 70* Maximum Length <br />The executive director has had an inquiry from a charter <br />boat operator who wants to purchase a new boat which measures <br />out at 73*. Based on construction and capacity the Coast uuara <br />rates the boat at 69*. The Water Patrol does not consider the <br />pulpit or swim deck in determining a length. Cochran commented <br />that the LMCD Ordinance limitation of 70' is not specific about <br />the method of measuring. . <br />The executive director will obtain further <br />effect of length on construction, safety and how the 70 length <br />for the Code provision was determined. <br />Q.
