He noted that everyonn is <br />jumping the gun by automatically assumin; the land will be ised <br />for park purposes and now .:pecific uses are being establisr.ed. <br />(#4) BEDERWOOD PLAYG'.dOUND EQUIPMENT <br />Gerhardson noted that the price just for the equipment is <br />$10,370.00. The City would have to go out and get bids on the <br />installation. <br />Chairman Flint asked about this being a Community project <br />with the Public Works staff helping to install. <br />Btadley asked what the liability would be for the City’ if <br />this were dona. <br />Gerhardson noted that volunteers could not be used w.^thout <br />constant supervision because of the need to make the play <br />equipment as safe as possible. <br />Kokal felt the bid is very expensiva for what we are getting <br />and vanted at least 3 bids to choose from. <br />Gerhardson explained tt is impossible to go to^ other <br />companies and get the exact same equipment, therefore it is very <br />hard to compare. <br />Br idley fel'. that there has c be more than one -.uprlier of <br />playground equipment. <br />Chairman Flint noted tha*' Steve was ’oing to find three bids <br />on installation which were pro ,ded. <br />O0j^hardsoi) noted he has two catalogs from supplier. which <br />the Commission can look through and compare.
