Me then <br />summarized that the reas. reouire that whenever <br />possible, existing natural landscape features such as <br />drainageway5, wetlands, and vegetated areas should be <br />used to convey, store, and filter runoff prior* to <br />discharge to public waters. He went on to explain that <br />due to studies showing a relatively short effective <br />life tor wetlands used as receiving areas for untreated <br />runoff and to developing new policies from federal <br />agencies.
