Date: July 8, 2024 Item: 21 <br />Presenter: Adam Edwards, City Administrator / Engineer <br />Section: City Administrator/Engineer Report <br /> <br />Title: Street Improvement Project Planning and Engineering (Project #25-001) <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />The purpose of this action item is to gain council approval to commence the planning and engineering of the <br />2025 Street Improvement Project. <br />2.Background: <br />At the May 13, 2024 Council Work Session, the Council provided direction for 2025 street projects. The <br />streets being considered for 2025 are: <br /> a. Kelly Avenue- Full reconstruction with watermain replacement <br /> b. Lydiard Avenue, & Lydiard Circle Mill and Overlay and Stormwater improvement <br /> c. Carmen Road- Mill and overlay and add concrete curb and gutter <br /> d. Ferndale Road West - Pavement reclaim and replace culvert <br /> e. Dahl Road (as an Alternate) - Pavement reclaim and add concrete curb and gutter <br /> f. Wildhurst Trail (Corner to Cul-de-sac) (As an Alternate) - Mill and overlay. <br />3.Scope: <br />a. Planning and engineering will consist of topographic surveying, utility inspections, design, permitting, <br />public input and solicitation of bids for select roads. <br />4.Cost: <br /> a. Bolton and Menk has provided a scope of services for a fee estimate not to exceed $281,000 (Exhibit A). <br /> b.
