Significant changes from the prior year are noted below: <br />City of Orono s Changes in Net Position <br />The increase in Program Revenues from the prior year relates to charges for services and operating grants and <br />contributions. Charges for services increased due to increases in public safety charges and utilities. Operating <br />grants and contributions increased due to public safety aid. <br />The increase in Public Safety expenses from prior year is expenses is due to an increase in police and fire <br />expenses. <br />The increase in Golf Course expenses from prior year is due to the Golf Course operations moving from <br />governmental activities to business-type activities in the current year. <br />25 60
