X <br />Zoning File 11659 <br />July 3, 1991 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />In regard to the Park Commission's review of the vacation <br />petition, staff would ask that you review Exhibit F - a section <br />of the comprehensive park/bike trail system as developed by the <br />Park COTunission and approved by the Council. There are no trail <br />systems shown on Big Island, only the Veterans Camp. The <br />Hennepin County Preserve Park is not designated. It would appear <br />that the Park Commission had not considered bike trails on Big <br />Island. Staff will contact the Chairman to see if this is even a <br />valid consideration for the Park Commission's review. <br />Pending final determinations from the DNR, staff would <br />recommend the complete vacation of the 20' alley as platted in <br />the rearrangement of Lot 1, Kitchel's Subdivision of Govt Lots 5 <br />and 6 finding no public use for the unimproved right-of-way.
