Dated <br />5/31/91 <br />ISSUE - Present to Council the 1990 Audit Report to determine if <br />there is a desire for the auditors to be available for the July <br />8» 1991 Council meeting to discuss the audit report further with <br />the Council. <br />INTRODUCTION - Annually the city engages an auditor to review its <br />financial matters for that year. Attachment A represents the <br />presentation for that. Based on the audit comments there are no <br />significant items of concern. The note regarding Federal Drug <br />Program is a standard one put in all of their audits. At this <br />point the City is not required to do that because we do not <br />currently receive any Federal grants. It is expected however, <br />that the City, which has been looking at a policy, may well <br />implement one within the next 12 to 18 months. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1.Accept the report <br />2.Ask any questions. <br />3.Indicate whether it would be desirable to have the auditors at <br />the July 8th meeting to discuss the audit report. <br />4.Table for further discussion. <br />5.Take no action. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the Council accept the <br />audit report and indicate if they would like to have the auditor <br />present for on July 8, 1991. If there is not a specific request, <br />this will not be placed on the agenda for July 0th. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by , seconded by , Council accept the <br />financial report indicatingHTf it is desiraSTe to have this on as <br />an agenda for July 8th with the auditors in attendance.
