Attachment: A.LMCD Budget (Revised) Dated 6/26/91 B.LMCD Budget Memo Dated 6/13/91 C.Lake Use Committee Notice - July 9, 1991 D.Letter to JoEllen Hurr Re: LMCD Budget % Kr ISSUE - I, Present to Council the adopted LMCD budget to determine if^the changes made are acceptable or if the Council desires to submit a letter of objection in order to trigger a public hearing. 2.Present to Council the update of work by Metro Council staff regarding LMCD's comprehensive plan. 3.Set next Lake Use Committee meeting. INTRODUCTION - Attachment D was transmitted to the City's LMCD Representative and as a result of the LMCD budget meeting Attachment A was adopted. DISCUSSION - Xasue #1 - LMCD Budget - As noted LMCD did adopt a revised AdsHnistrative budget which reflects about a 9.4% growth which is slightly less than the original 10.4% growth. This reduction together with a reduced City share of Milfoil reduces Orono s increase from 11.2% to 3.4%. As noted the Council can object if they choose and this would be transmitted to LMCD. Issue #2 - LMCD Canprehensive Plan - James Uttley has redrafted portiolis ‘ofTh’e LMCD plan which LMCD Board will review at a meeting Monday. A meeting has been scheduled by LMCD for the cities regarding this on Wednesday July 17. It is anticipated a copy of the document will be available just prior to that meeting. It is my understanding that Mr. Uttley has taken a substantial different tact in these initial revisions. Issue #3 - The next Lake Use Committee meeting originally set for JulyTland then changed to July 23nd needs to be rescheduled and will be presented Monday night.
