Sne s jggested that the three <br />CounciImembers could be Jabbour, Callahan, and Goetten. <br />Callahan, Goetten and Jabbour agreed to be appointed to the <br />Lake Use Committee. <br />Goetten stated that she would like to see the Plann* <br />Commission members polled to sae which two members would have <br />genuine interest in serving, rather than just appointing two <br />members. <br />Mayor Peterson suggested leaving the further appointments to <br />the discretion of Jabbour, Goetten, and Callahan. <br />0y^2.er stated that it would be helpful if tae Committee <br />included at least one person that does not reside on the Lake. <br />She said. "I believe the Committee needs the viewpoint of someone <br />that is not intimately involved with lake use issues. <br />Mayor Peterson asked Hurr, Goetten, Callahan, and Jabbour if <br />they could get together and bring additional information back to <br />the June 1'), 1991 Council meeting. Sne asked to have ^ Chair and <br />Vice-Chair appointed. <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to <br />establish a Lake Use Committee and appoint CounciImembers <br />Jabbour, Goetten, Callahan, and L'^CD Representative JbEllen Hurr <br />to said Committee. These four members have agreed to make <br />further appointments to the Lake U5;e Committee, and will appoint <br />a Chair and Vice-Chair. Council gives the Committee Charge as <br />outline in Exhibit D. All voted aye. Motion passed. <br />PUBLIC COHHBilTS: <br />Roj0inary Scheuer (Reporter with the "Pioneer"), noted that the <br />Municipal Board Process is on tho Agenda, but is a Consent item. <br />She asked what may br' e.npected to happen between now and <br />November» 1991. <br />Tom Barrett replied, "Th«? City is waiting to receive a final <br />draft from the City of Long Lake Once that is received, we will <br />review it, make any changes, and try to negotiate a final <br />document. At which point the agreement is acceptable for both <br />Councils to adopt, the City of Long L?ke would then apply for the <br />rezoning and subdivision of the property before the appropriate <br />bodies of the City of Orono. Once that has been completed, and <br />if the rezoning and subdivision process are done in a way that is <br />- 5 -
