Restrictions. <br />During a water shortage the City Council may order one or any <br />combination o£ the following restrictions: <br />U)a complete or partial ban on water use for watering <br />determined by the City to be non-esaential, or any <br />combination thereof# ^ <br />(2)•Safet^:rend?Srln\r2v^n mtj^w":^ :' <br />even-numbered calendar days and residents of <br />addresses ending in an odd digit may water on <br />odd-numbered calendar days; <br />(3)a limitation of water use for specified hours of the <br />day; <br />(4) <br />(5) <br />a voluntary or involuntary restriction; <br />a use restriction applicable to . <br />City or based on land use or property identification. <br />and <br />(6)any other appropriate restriction. <br />Mmwlv s..d«<l or sodded lawns shall be exempt from these provisions <br />for a period of 30 days after installation# although no re <br />widtnror soSding maj begin after any applicable water use <br />rastriction is instituted. <br />The Council delegates to the City Administrator or his designee the <br />authority to declare an odd/even or total sprinkling ban or a complete <br />water use ban of municipal users of any public system in Orono when <br />in the opinion of the Administrator or his designee that municipal <br />water supplies have reached the point that it could endanger the <br />supply for domestic sanitation and/or fire protection purposes. <br />This would require ratification by resolution at the Council’s next <br />regularly scheduled Council meeting. <br />Section 6. Termination. <br />Any water use restrictions Imposed by the <br />Shortage shall terminate by resolution of the C.ty Council. <br />-2- <br />i
