The City totally surrounds two communioes. <br />which are part of the original township, and substantially surrounds a third community. <br />Orono is home to many of the metropolitan area’s top executives who appreciate the <br />eoauminity’s natural amenities. <br />Coatract Qtiea <br />lent is a community of just under 2,000 people which began as a commercial area <br />serving the surrounding rural area in what is now primarily the City of Or^. While the two <br />primary industrial firms (Tonka Toys and Advance Machines) ere no longer locamd in <br />Ike community, it continues providing lake related services plus local rttaiUng. The City <br />haa three full-time personnel (two administration and one public waifks). It contracts <br />with he City of Mound for fire service and Orono for inspeetioaal services.
