:'4- <br />IV- <br />■tv. <br />A SB80LI1TI0II GRANTING <br />VAR1ANCB8 TO <br />HDNICIPAL S0NIN6 CODS <br />SECTION 10.23, SUBDIVISION € <br />Plus #1626 <br />(B) <br />WHEREAS, Tim and Beth Traff (hereinafter "the <br />applicants") are the owners of the property located at 2683 North <br />Shore Drive within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and <br />legally described as follows: <br />Tract B, Registered Land Survey #1373, Hennepin County, <br />Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for <br />variances to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.23, Subdivision 6 <br />(B) to permit the construction of a residence on a lot of 118' <br />width where 200* width is normally required, being 1.01 acre in <br />area where a 2.0 acre lot area is normally required, and being <br />located 24.5* from the east side lot line where a 30* side lot <br />line setback is normally required. <br />NOW, TBEREPORB, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />Orono, Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1626. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-IA Single Family <br />Lakeshore Residential Zoning District. <br />3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application <br />on March 18-20, 1991, and on a vote of 3-1, recommended <br />approval of the lot width and lot area variances, and denial <br />of the side setback variance, finding that: <br />A) There is an existing house on the property. The <br />roperty is 1.01 acre in area, and ranges from 118* to <br />40* in width. The house is believed to have been in <br />its current location since 1920, prior to the effective <br />date of current zoning regulations. <br />S <br />B) The property is served with municipal sewer. <br />Page 1 of 5
