Gerhardson» Public Worxs Ciractor <br />Date:April 6, 1990 <br />Subject: Little League Improvements - Bedervcod Ball Diamond <br />on Monday, March 26, 1990, the Orono Council approved <br />improvements to the ball diamond at Beder-fcod Park. <br />The Orono Baseball Association (OBA) will allowed to: <br />1. Fence the entire ball diamond. <br />2. Construct dugouts. <br />3, Construct concession stand/press ox (one level). <br />4, Provide portable bleachers <br />5, Install scoreboard (not electric). <br />6. Remove ag-lime infield - place grass infield (City will <br />assist with equipment for this phase only). <br />7. Have exclusive use of ball diamond only from one hour <br />before game time to dark Monday through Thursday, June 3 - <br />June 3of 1990 (additional use to July 15, 1990 tournaments <br />or play offs only). <br />0, Th**ee year commitment with an annual review. <br />The above approval is contingent upon: <br />1. OBA to provide funding for all improvements except City <br />participation for Item 6 above. <br />2. OBA to provide affidavit of insurance. <br />3, OBA to provide plans of all structures to City <br />Inspection Department for review and approval. <br />4. Structure to be temporary as possible and within <br />building codes. <br />5. No artificial lighting. <br />6. No loud speakers. <br />7, No advertising on any structures. <br />0. OBA to post schedule of use at ball diamond. <br />City staff will review and prepare information <br />to .xpana p«king lot and parking safety concerns on Stubb s Bay <br />Road.
