State Law Excerpt Chapter 204C.03 Public Meetings <br />Prohibited on Election Day <br />ISSUE • Present to Council updated information regarding the <br />proposed joint Planning Commission meeting scheduled for: <br />Tuesday <br />May 21, 1991 <br />INTRODUCTION - At the Council's April 22, 1991 Council meeting. <br />Council tentatively scheduled a joint Council/Planning Commission <br />■eeting for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 1991. It was noted at <br />that meeting that it also happened to be School election day. As <br />a result the meeting cannot start until 8:01. As noted in <br />Attachment A. This is presented at this time as a reminder of <br />the upcoming date together with determining if Council wants to <br />schedule it for 8:01 or set a different date for this meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Confirm the date and change the time to 8:01. <br />2. Select a different date. <br />3. Postpone <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by seconded by __, that Council set <br />8:01 for Tuesday, May 21, 1991 as a joint Council/Planning <br />Commission meeting.
