GROUP REPORT; <br />Steve Hay, Mn/Dot Representative reported that the scoping docisnent for the <br />west corridor freeway/expressway is due to be completed July 1, 1991. In <br />anticipation of that, there are*three citizens groups presently meeting on <br />policy, technicail and advisory. He anticipated that the scoping document <br />nay only have one corridor, or possibly 2 or 3 alternates as proposed studied <br />corridors for the environmental impact statement which would then follow. <br />Ccitinissioner Levin had previously indicated that the State would conmit funds <br />for the environmental impact statement after the scoping document, only aft» a <br />source of financing was identified. <br />The committees appear to be working well with each other and contrary to <br />prpiijiT- belief. Long Lake was actually encouraging the re-routing of Higtsuwy <br />12 other than through town. <br />MQMESOTA alliance task FORCE: <br />No report <br />EI£Cn0N OF HiaiWAY 12 TASK FORCE VICE CHAIR: <br />Chair Dean Schiuter expressed the need for the Hi^iway 12 Task Fbrc» to have a <br />Vice and asked for noninations fron the floor. It was MSC (m/George <br />Johnson; s/Bemadette Collins) to have Gordon Wetter as the Highway 12 Task <br />Fbroe Vice Chair. <br />LATIVE ACTIVITIES: <br />It was the consensus of the Task Force that Legislative Activities wait until <br />after the election and that they be discussed at the next meeting of the Task
