Orono <br />currently faces a numoer of development challenges and it <br />is my strong desire to be actively involved i'^/esolving <br />these Issues. I am ready to commit my time and efforts on <br />behalf of the community with the Commission. <br />Mv wife and I decided to relocate our family back to <br />Minnesota (I was born and raised in Marshall) two <br />moving here from London, England. We chose Orono deliberatwly <br />and carefully for its unigue, rural characteristics. I am <br />committed to working to preserve those qualities. <br />From Salomon Brothers in London, I joined the Churchill Com­ <br />panies. a Minneapolis investment group, where I serve as a <br />senior executive in our subordinated debt rund, Churcnill <br />Capital. The fund makes subordinated debt capital available <br />nationwide to manufacturing and service concerns or a . <br />variety of transactions, including recapitalizations, growth <br />and buy“Outs. Please refer to the attached resume or <br />previous professional experien"® <br />In addition, through high school and college I worked with <br />my father, an independent contractor, and have-first-hand <br />knowledge of zoning and building issues which are relevant <br />to the Commission's work.
