REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD APRIL d, 1991 <br />(#7)ZONING FILE 11624-CARLSON/SHORELINE MARINA CONTINUED <br />Bernhardson dd not bf>lieve tie City regulated aiytliing <br />beyond the zoning issues. <br />Mabusth was not sure that the Viindward Marine is utili.-ed as <br />a clubhouse, in the way the Shoreline Mama structure would be <br />used. She indicated that she is not avare of any restrictions <br />that were placed on the use of the property, ’nd noted there have <br />been no problems or complaints. <br />Jabbour commented that the owner of Viindward Marine resides <br />across the street from the facilit,. <br />It was moved by Jabbour, seconded by Butler, to approve the <br />Commercial Sito Plan for Shoreline Marina and Yacht Club, which <br />pertains only to the physical improvements on the property. Tie <br />remaining issut- pertaining to operation of the facility shall be <br />addressed throug- the City’s marina licensing process. It v/as <br />al.so agreed tha" the Planning Commission be directed to review <br />the issue of underground gas tanks from an ordinance standpoint. <br />All voted aye. Motion passed. <br />(t8)ZOMING FILE #1625-DON OLSON <br />4590 NORTH SHORE DRIVE <br />VARIANCE*RESOLUTION #2950 <br />Don Olson was present for this matter. <br />Bernhardson provided a brief explanation of Mr. Olson's <br />application. He noted that though the request is to connect two <br />accessory structures, the combined structure will not be used to <br />house animals. Bernhardson advised that tne Planning Commission <br />had unanimously recommended approve of this application. <br />tt was moved by Butler, secondt?d by Goetten, to adopt <br />Resolution 12950, approving the Viriance required to have an <br />accessory structure nearer to the street than the principal <br />gtfucture, and a 6’ side setback Variance, in accordance with the <br />Planning Commission's recommendation. All vot.jd aye. Motion <br />passed. <br />(#9)ZONING FILE fl628*MARR a SARA FINNEY <br />4195 HIGHWOOD ROAD <br />VARIANCE-RESOLUTION 12951 <br />Mark and Sara Finney were present. <br />Bernhardson reviewed the issues raised in Jeanne Mabusth*s <br />memo dated March 8. 1991, as well as additional conuv.ents made <br />subsequent to the March 13, 1991 Planning Commission meeting, <br />which she included in her April 2, 1991 memo. <br />Mabusth stated that Staff and the Planning Commission <br />recommend that the lakeshore stairway structure should be treated <br />- 8 -
