ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR AUGUST 24,1998 <br />(Preparation of Feasibility Report, Continued) <br />subdivided in the future and treat it as a variance. <br />Mayor Jabbour suggested City Staff draft a document which would preuent future subdivision of this <br />property. <br />Kelley raised concerns if the property is sold in the future anrj the new owner wants to tear down <br />both Luctures and construct a new residence, how that would be treated. <br />Moofse stated only one house could be constructec. <br />Van Zomeren stated you cannot have two principal structures on one lot. <br />Mayor Jabbour recommended if two hookups are desired, they should be charged for two units. <br />Kelley stated the property owners need to bring the sewer into conformance for both structures. <br />Goetten stated she was not against providing sewer, noting clear language needs to be included <br />in the Resolution which would prevent future subdivision of this property. <br />Mavor Jabbour suggested the City Administrator talk to the Heads to see if they would be agreeable <br />to the inclusion of me proposed language preventing future subdivision of the property. <br />Mayor Jabbour moved, Kelley seconded, to approve RESOLUTION <br />Orderina Preparations of a Feasibility Report for the Installation of Munlcip ry <br />SewV; to LTce the Head Property at 2090 Shoreline Drive. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />(#17) SCHEDULE PUBLIC HEARING FOR HEAD SANITARY SEWER PROJECT - RESOLUTION <br />NO. 4153 <br />Gappa noted a public hearing needs to be scheduled to assess the sewer charges. <br />Mayor Jabbour moved, Kelley seconded, to schedule a public <br />1998, at 7:30 p.m., for the Head Sanitary Sewer Project per Resolution No. #4153. <br />(#18) APPROVE CONSTRUCTION OF SHORT COURT BASKETBALL COURT AT CRYSTAL <br />BAY PARK <br />Goetten inquired how close the basketball court would be to the play equipment located in the park. <br />Gappa stated the basketball court would be constructed directly north of the post office away from <br />the play equipment. <br />Moorse remarked this is included in the master plan for the park. <br />Page 13
