that the amendment may be placed into effect immediately. The Metropolitan Council further <br />indicated that because the amendment appears unlikely to affect policies and plans in other chapters <br />of the Metropolitan Development Guide, further review of the amendment is waived. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Orono hereby amends the Comprehensive Sew'er Policy Plan element of the Orono Community <br />Management Plan by incorporating into the plan the document entitled "Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment #7, Maxwell Bay Area MUSA Boundary" dated June 1998, and adds part XXXI - <br />Maxwell Bay Northeast to the Metropolitan Urban Service Area per the legal descriptions and maps <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A, finding that: <br />1.The amendment meets the intent of the basic goals, objectives and policies set forth <br />in the 1980 Comprehensive Management Plan. <br />2.The amendment is consistent with the goals, objectives, needs and desires of Orono <br />residents. <br />3.The amendment is consistent with the planning goals and objectives of Orono's <br />municipal neighbors. <br />Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota this 9th day of November, 1998. <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
