Orono Healthy Communities-Healthy Youth has received a grant to launch this new effort to connect youth with community mentors and to reach out to families and nelghborhooods. '*. t'-hS-: r-A Search Institute has Identified 40 developmental assets which are proven to Increase resistance to problematic behavior and heighten success. A variety of mentorship possiblltles are possible, from traditional one-on-one to group mentorships. These mentorship opportunities foster the assets of caring adult relationships, structured activities, caring neighborhoods, youth as resources and community values youtii. ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP k-: •r 6^.5 '-f Orono Community Education and YMCA Camp ihduhapi have Joined forces to provide share resources and expand a common vision and related mission.
